485. To ask the Minister for Health the position regarding the waiting list for children (details supplied) seeking an appointment for paediatric allergy services, including the expected date when they will be seen; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13224/25]

Under the Health Act 2004, the Health Service Executive (HSE) is required to manage and deliver, or arrange to be delivered on its behalf, health and personal social services. Section 6 of the HSE Governance Act 2013 bars the Minister for Health from directing the HSE to provide a treatment or a personal service to any individual or to confer eligibility on any individual.
In relation to the particular query raised, as this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.

To ask the Minister for Health the number of children referred to Children’s Health Ireland clinics (details supplied) for paediatric allergy services from 2020 to 2024 and to date in 2025; the number of children who have received an initial appointment; the number who have received a follow-up appointment; the average wait time to be seen by a consultant; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
