To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to urgently intervene and ensure that a service provider who accepts funding from the HSE fulfils their obligations and contracts (details supplied); if he will accept that this day service is a lifeline for many families, and without its support many families will be left with no option but to seek residential care for their loved ones; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy may wish to be aware that my Department does not directly fund any charitable voluntary groups. Under Section 39 of the 2004 Health Act funding is provided by the Health Service Executive. I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to you directly in relation to this matter, as soon as possible.
