The National Cyber Security Centre and the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery and Reform have published guidance on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the public service which has been made available to all staff in the Department of the Taoiseach.

The Department of the Taoiseach and the National Economic and Social Development Office (NESDO) - the only agency under the aegis of the Department of the Taoiseach - use of a number of computerised systems that have AI built into them. For example, the Department's video conferencing system uses AI software to focus cameras on the speaker in a meeting; and the Department's IT security systems also make use of AI software.
