The Health Service Executive (HSE) provide an extensive range of aids and appliances to individuals living with a wide variety of different medical conditions. These support individuals to continue living within their communities and to enjoy a greater quality of life than would otherwise be the case. The Community Funded Schemes (CFS) is the collective name for the provision of these products and services. This includes the provision of post-mastectomy products. As of December 2024, the allowance towards the provision for post-mastectomy products and hair loss products following cancer-related treatment has been standardised nationwide. This includes an annual allowance toward the cost of post-mastectomy prosthesis. I am pleased that this is the case as progressing Women's Health is a priority for me as the Minister for Health.
