To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to provide an update on the implementation of the recommendations of the Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce Report, specifically the recommendation to "Undertake a feasibility study and develop a concept proposal for the development of a National Logistics Hub in the Shannon Estuary, as an input into the preparation of a ‘Regional Freight Strategy‘ for the Limerick/Shannon region"; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce Report falls under the remit of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment. Noting that this report outlines that it is the NTA, in collaboration with other stakeholders who have responsibility for undertaking a feasibility study and to develop a concept proposal for the development of a National Logistics Hub in the Shannon Estuary, as an input into the preparation of a ‘Regional Freight Strategy‘ for the Limerick/Shannon region, I have referred the deputies question to The NTA for direct reply.
