To ask the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 13 of 3 October 2024, to provide a breakdown of the €16 million additional expenditure allocation announced for the National Ambulance Service; the purpose of the allocation; the details of intended spend by line item, in tabular form; if it was the intention that funding would be allocated for advanced paramedic training as distinct from community specialist paramedic training; if she is satisfied with the fact that there is no provision in the HSE service plan for 2025 for students to commence on the MSc in Specialist Paramedic Practice (Advanced) in 2025; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As these are service matters I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
