My officials commissioned a piece of independent research to help inform Department policy on youth information provision in Ireland. The Department has received a report prepared by the independent researchers.

My officials are considering the contents of the report in the context of the wider strategic approach to the sector set out in Opportunities for Youth, the National Strategy for Youth Work and Related Services. As part of that process officials will continue to engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure any revised policy meets the information needs of today's young people.
