The sudden loss of Shane O'Farrell at such a young age, with his whole life ahead of him, is a desperate tragedy for all those who knew and loved him and one which will always be an immense source of grief in their lives.
I have met previously with Shane's family and in response to their recent request I will be meeting with them again in the coming days, to talk about the report of the Scoping Exercise, the role of the Justice Committee, and to listen carefully to what they have to say in relation to this matter.
