To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the annual amount claimed by special advisers attached to him or his Department outside of their regular salary, since 1 March 2020 to date in 2025, by mileage claim and amount, subsistence, other vouched expenses and unvouched expenses; and if the travel episode and or journey related to same will be included in the response. Appointments of special advisers are made in line with the Public Service Management Act, 1997 and subject to Government approval - the formal appointment of a Special Adviser requires a Government Order and a copies of which are available in the Statutory Instruments section of the Irish Statute Book website at www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/statutory.html
