To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the annual amount claimed by special advisers attached to him or his Department outside of their regular salary, since 1 March 2020 to date in 2025, by mileage claim and amount, subsistence, other vouched expenses and unvouched expenses; and if the travel episode and or journey related to same will be included in the response. The following table shows the amount of annual expenses paid to Special Advisers attached to the Department of Tourism Culture Arts Gaeltacht Sport and Media for the period March 2020 to date in 2025. (There were no expense claims made during 2021 due to travel restrictions due to Covid-19).
