In total, the Increased Cost of Business (ICOB) and Power Up grant schemes have paid out over €400 million to SMEs right across the country.
In order to make payments to businesses before the end of 2024, the Power Up grant was aligned with the ICOB scheme.
The Power Up grant was designed specifically to support businesses in the hospitality and retail and beauty sectors.
The Power Up grant has paid out €158.7 million to 39,668 businesses in those sectors, however it is not possible to break that figure down to the specific business types requested.

The Restart Grant scheme was launched in May 2020 and was succeeded by an enhanced Restart Grant Plus scheme which closed for applications on 31st October 2020.
The Restart Grant was aimed at helping small and medium businesses with the costs associated with reopening and reemploying workers following COVID-19 closures. The scheme was designed to help with the cost of reopening or adapting business premises so that normal business could resume.
Government allocated €652 million in total for the Scheme which was operated through the 31 local authorities.
Grant payments were made to a total of 108,489 successful applications to a total of €632.3 million. The average grant was approximately €5,828.
