The former Garda Station properties at Quin, Co. Clare are in the ownership of the Commissioners of Public Works (OPW).

In 2023, the OPW carried out works to secure and repair the walled boundaries to the sides and rear of the former Garda Station in Quin which is situated in an Architectural Conservation Area.

The works also included:

  • site clearance
  • grading, top soiling and seeding of all external areas
  • Cleaning of all external hard landscaping
  • Painting of all the buildings on the site
  • Painting of boundary walls, gates, railings and ironmongery
The project cost was €111,080.10 ex VAT.

While the former Garda Station in Quin is currently vacant, it is required by An Garda Síochána (AGS) to meet accommodation requirements. The OPW is working with AGS to examine the feasibility of meeting those requirements in the former Garda Station in Quin.
