473. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform to list the functions, roles and services that were carried out and delivered by civil service or State agency workers; the cost to the State of each contract since the implementation of the Building Momentum public service agreement, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand that the Deputy has clarified that this Question should have read as follows: “To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform to list the functions, roles and services that were previously carried out and delivered by civil service or State agency workers that have been contracted out to the private sector since the implementation of the Building Momentum public service agreement; the cost to the State of each contract in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.”
On that basis, I wish to advise the Deputy that there are no functions, roles or services within my Department that were contracted out to the private sector since the implementation of the Building Momentum public service agreement, which were previously carried out and delivered by Civil Service or State Agency workers.
I am advised that there were also no such instances in the public bodies under the aegis of my Department.
My Department does not hold such information in respect of other Departments or bodies under their aegis, so the Deputy may wish to put separate Questions down to the relevant Ministers.
