To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment to provide details of all of the weather modification methods, climate engineering or geoengineering, such as adding alkaline chemicals to the ocean, spraying salty mixtures into clouds and reflective particles into the stratosphere, that are taking place in or around Irish air space; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not commissioned any climate engineering or geoengineering research activities that are being conducted within Irish airspace and nor have any such activities been brought to my attention.
