92. To ask the Minister for Health if tenders have been sought and assessed for the provision of primary care centres at locations within County Galway, such as An Spidéal, Oranmore, Claregalway and Galway city west; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9897/25]

I wish to thank the Deputy for allowing me to update the house on this matter.
I am happy to inform the Deputy that Primary Care Centres for Galway City West and Claregalway were advertised on the eTenders platform in Q4 2024.
The tenders for Galway City West primary care centre have been assessed. The next step is to seek HSE Property/Board approval.
Tenders were received for Claregalway Primary Care Centre and the tender assessment is ongoing.
The advertisements for both Oranmore and Spiddal Primary Care Centres are currently live on the eTenders platform. The next step for these two primary care centres is the assessment of all tenders received. This is expected to take place in the middle of Q2 2025 for both locations.
When operational, these four primary care centres will provide a range of important services to their communities. These include GP and Nursing services, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Community Mental Health Services among other services.
As I’m sure the Deputy is aware, the tender and assessment stage is the first step in the development of a PCC. A number of factors can influence the timelines for development of a Primary Care Centre, therefore it is not possible at this early stage to estimate a timeline for construction to commence.
However, it is welcome news that progress is being made on the development of additional Primary Care Centres across County Galway.
