To ask the Minister for Health if she is aware that the Civil Registration Service online appointment booking system requests that interpreters be present for any language other than English, despite the official status of the Irish language; if she will confirm that appointments can be conducted in Irish without interpretation; if she will confirm that Irish sign language will be fully facilitated, without expense, for those choosing to use Irish sign language; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
