69. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to detail any EU legislation required to be transposed into Irish law and awaiting referral to an Oireachtas committee from his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10222/25]

Planning is currently underway in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to transpose the following EU legislation into Irish law:

Directive (EU) 2025/290 on updating the list of defence-related products in line with the updated Common Military List of the European Union.

Directive (EU) 2025/149 amending the Annexes to Directive 2008/68/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council to take into account scientific and technical progress.

Directive (EU) 2024/2839 as regards certain reporting requirements in the fields of food and food ingredients, outdoor noise, patients’ rights, and radio equipment

Directive (EU) 2023/2668 on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to asbestos at work.

Directive (EU) 2024/825 as regards empowering consumers for the green transition through better protection against unfair practices and through better information.

Directive (EU) 2024/869 as regards the limit values for lead and its inorganic compounds and for diisocyanates.

Directive (EU) 2024/2749 as regards emergency procedures for the conformity assessment, presumption of conformity, adoption of common specifications and market surveillance due to an internal market emergency.

Directive (EU) 2024/1760 on corporate sustainability due diligence and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and Regulation (EU) 2023/2859.

Directive (EU) 2024/1799 on common rules promoting the repair of goods and amending Regulation (EU) 2017/2394 and Directives (EU) 2019/771 and (EU) 2020/1828.

Directive (EU) 2024/2831 on improving working conditions in platform work.

Directive (EU) 2024/2810 on multiple-vote share structures in companies that seek admission to trading of their shares on a multilateral trading facility.

Directive (EU) 2024/2853 on liability for defective products and repealing Council Directive 85/374/EEC.

Directive (EU) 2025/25 as regards further expanding and upgrading the use of digital tools and processes in company law.

Directive (EU) 2024/2823 on the legal protection of designs (recast).

Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2023 on machinery and repealing Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Directive 73/361/EEC.

Referral to an Oireachtas committee depends on whether transposition is done by statutory instrument or primary legislation and will be done in each case in the appropriate way. Currently no files are awaiting referral to an Oireachtas Committee.
