The school referred by the Deputy has been approved to enter the Department's pipeline for school building projects under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme , to provide two mainstream classrooms, two Special Education Teaching (SET) rooms and one Special Educational Needs (SEN) Base.
This project has been devolved to the school authority for delivery.
The Department has received a Stage 1/2a report (early design) for review in the Q4 2024. The project is under review from both a technical and financial perspectives, in line with the Public Spending Code requirements.
The Department will liaise with the school directly once the review process is finalised in regards to progressing this much needed project.
