To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment if he will respond to the report published on 10 December 2024 (details supplied) which found "a significant blind spot in Ireland’s climate action planning", resulting from a failure to include direct demand for natural gas from connections to data centres; the engagement he has had with the Environmental Protection Agency and Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland on the matter; and the actions he proposes to address what the researcher termed the blind spot; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
