The general provisions in respect of Career Breaks for staff of the HSE, including nurses, are available publicly and can be viewed online here:

There is no provision for the granting of career breaks to nurses for the purpose of taking up employment.

I have asked the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy on the matter.
