Tackling drug dealing and targeting the work of organised crime groups, who inflict intimidation, violence and misery on families and communities, is a top priority for the Government and my Department.

I am advised by the Garda authorities that drug values and drug volumes are only published at a national level and are found in the Garda Síochána Annual Reports.

The tables below, provided to me by An Garda Síochána, outline figures found in the Garda Síochána Annual Reports and are based on Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) quarterly returns between the years 2019 and 2024. This is representative of any samples taken from seizures during this period.

I am further advised that FSI do not provide a return for ‘Crack Cocaine’ so the larger Category of ‘Cocaine’ has been provided. Heroin is captured on PULSE as ‘diamorphine’.

This information was extracted and analysed on 23 February 2025. It is based on the Garda Síochána Drug Pricing Guidelines 2019. As the Garda Síochána 2024 Annual Report has not yet been published these amounts may be revised following further analysis.
