To ask the Minister for Finance to provide data on the final cost of public procurement tenders where his Department or agencies under the aegis of his Department acted as the contracting authority in each of the past five years, indicating the number of tenders where the final cost was under, on, or over the contract award value at the time of tendering, in tabular form. It was not possible for my Department to provide the information sought in the time available. I will, however, make arrangements to provide the information to the Deputy in line with Standing Orders.

314. To ask the Minister for Finance the total amount spent in excess of the contract award value for all public procurement tenders within his Department and agencies under the aegis his Department of in each of the past five years.; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7523/25]

I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department had no spend in excess of the contract award for the public procurement tenders in each of the past five years.
In accordance with Circular 05/2023, my Department advertises all competitions on eTenders above the national advertising threshold of €50,000 and, prior to 2023, all competitions above the then national advertising threshold of €25,000 in accordance with the predecessor Circular 10/2014.
It was not possible for 4 of the bodies under the aegis of my Department to provide the information requested in the time available and therefore I will provide the information to the Deputy in line with Standing Orders. These bodies are the Financial Services & Pensions Ombudsman, the National Treasury Management Agency, the Office of the Revenue Commissioners and the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland.
The Central Bank of Ireland and the Comptroller & Auditor General have provided the information requested in the tables below.
