218. To ask the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment given that there is an all-Ireland energy market, if there has been any discussion between Derry City and Strabane Council, or the Department of Infrastructure in the north of Ireland and the ESB or his Department in this jurisdiction on the demand on electricity by the proposed four new data centres in the Derry area; if there is any north south consultation in relation to the addition of significant demand on electricity supply. The matters raised in this question relate to commercial development in Northern Ireland and should be directed to the appropriate Northern Irish bodies. Furthermore, operational matters regarding the grid should be directed to both Eirgrid and ESB Networks, and are not matters in which I, as Minister, have a function. As such the Deputy may wish to engage with these organisations directly at oireachtas@esb.ie and oireachtas@eirgrid.ie.
