My Department provides financial support to volunteer led youth groups/clubs through the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme (LYCGS) which is administered at a local level by the Education and Training Boards (ETBs). While we do have comprehensive lists of clubs within the Cork ETB area, we do not collect specific address data for these clubs. For that reason, we are unable to provide a list of clubs in East Cork alone.

Additionally, the most recent reports we have from the LYCGS pertain to the year 2023. The reports for 2024 have not yet been received and are therefore not available at this time. In 2023, €268,550 was awarded to clubs within the Cork ETB, supporting 151 clubs.

The list of clubs funded by the Department through the LYCGS within Cork ETB can be found in the table at the link below. In addition to the list provided there may be additional clubs which do not meet the eligibility requirements of the scheme in terms of child protection legislation, Garda vetting legislation, health and safety requirements, and quality standards. Some clubs chose not to apply for LYCGS funding, and so will also not be captured by the Department. Youth clubs/ groups whose primary focus is sport are also precluded from applying for funding under the scheme.
