My Department is currently running a tender competition to procure archival services to undertake a 12-month pilot cataloguing and re-housing project, in order to devise a comprehensive project plan for cataloguing all of the records of the former Irish Land Commission including the Congested Districts Board records. My Department, with Officials from the National Archives, is working with a view to ultimately transferring the former Irish Land Commission collection to the National Archives, from where the records can eventually be made available to the public.
