To ask the Minister for Health if there is a mechanism, such as the individual funding request process used in the North of Ireland, to allow the HSE consider requests from clinical consultants for treatments for individual patients that fall outside the range of services routinely commissioned such as in the case of dual therapy medication for arthritis and ulcerative colitis; if such a process will be provided for a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter.
