To ask the Minister for Health the number of consultant posts that have been approved by the HSE consultant applications advisory committee (CAAC) for model 3 and model 4 hospitals in each of the six HSE health regions in 2023, 2024 and to date in 2025; the number of consultant posts that are currently awaiting formal approval by the HSE CAAC, broken down by HSE health region; and the reason so few consultant posts have been approved for hospitals in the HSE mid west region over these periods.
