262. To ask the Minister for Rural and Community Development the contact he has had with a social enterprise (details supplied) regarding its inability to renew public sector contracts due to the Office of Government Procurement restricting tender applications to companies with a turnover in excess of €2,000,000; if he will place the enterprise on the high-level funding strand for a period of two years to ensure it can replace new contracts; if he will meet with representative of the social enterprise to discuss the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised that Pobal, which administers the Community Services Programme (CSP) on behalf of my Department, has been engaging directly with the named organisation relating to ongoing financial challenges.

The organisation is registered to participate in the ESF+ Achieve Together Mentoring and Coaching Programme, which provides a 12-month tailored coaching, mentoring and supports programme to qualifying CSP-funded organisations. Further information on this Programme can be found on Pobal's website.

Furthermore, I have instructed my officials and Pobal to liaise with the organisation's Board of Directors with regards to arranging a meeting to discuss the position.

The Office of Government Procurement does not fall under the aegis of my Department and, as Minister for Rural and Community Development, I have no function in that regard.
