There have not been any overspends of €500,000 or more on any projects undertaken or commissioned by the Department of the Taoiseach or the National Economic and Social Development Office (NESDO) - the only body under the aegis of the Department - within the past five years. All procurement within the Department of the Taoiseach and NESDO is conducted in accordance with applicable EU and national regulations and guidelines and is subject to regular review and oversight to ensure that budgetary control is maintained over the life cycle of individual projects.
