To ask the Minister for Health for details of vacant psychology posts in the South West regional health area submitted since 1 July 2024 to the prioritisation/derogation process introduced by the HSE in the context of the pay and numbers strategy, with a breakdown of the date each post was submitted for consideration, the date a decision was made, and the outcome in each case, in tabular form. To ask the Minister for Health the origin of the title 'area principal psychology manager' which is in longstanding use in CHO 4/the South West regional health area; if it differs in remit or authority from the grade 'principal psychology manager'; if it has existed in other CHOs/RHAs; if it is recognised by the HSE's National HR office; when this title came into use; and which management team in the HSE conferred it. To ask the Minister for Health if she is aware that there is currently no public health nurse in Midleton, Cork, meaning that the children of this area are suffering as this nursing shortage means they are missing out on vital checks; and if she can take urgent action to ensure that this shortage is addressed without further delay.
