In November 2024, The Office of Public Works (OPW) submitted a Preliminary Business Case in relation to the new office development at the Opera Site in Limerick to the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation and is under consideration by both the Department and the OPW.

Pending approval of the Preliminary Business Case, it is intended that a Memorandum for Cabinet will be submitted updating Government on the project.
