The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) is an independent, statutory body under the aegis of my Department. The WRC’s primary functions include the inspection of employment law compliance, the provision of information on employment law, mediation, adjudication, conciliation, facilitation, and advisory services.
To date the WRC has received 36 individual complaints under the category "Complaint seeking adjudication by an Adjudication Officer, under section 27 of the Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 2023".
I am forwarding to the Deputy detailed information setting out the number of complaints lodged with the WRC in the past 12 months, broken down by month, in tabular form, and the number of those cases that have been finalised during the period.
