Deputy Secretary €295 per day
Assistant Secretary €200 per day
Principal Officer €150 per day
Assistant Principal €130 per day
Higher Executive Officer and below €110 per day

Civil Service Renewal 2030 is a strategy for the Civil Service with a vision for ‘An innovative, professional and agile Civil Service that improves the lives of the people of Ireland through excellence in service delivery and strategic policy development’. The strategy was published in 2021 and is framed around three core themes – Digital First and Embedding Innovation; Workforce, Workplace and Organisation of the Future; and Evidence-Informed Policy and Services. The strategy and other reform initiatives such as Connecting Government 2030, the Digital and ICT strategy for the public service, are closely aligned to Better Public Services, the Public Service Transformation strategy which was published in 2023. Details on the Better Public Services strategy and related transformation initiatives are available on the Better Public Services website on www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/1cde2-better-public-services/.
