34. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number of passport books and cards issued to Tipperary applicants in 2024; the number expected to be issued for Tipperary in 2025; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4228/25]

The Passport Service issued 1,061,629 passport books and cards in 2024. The number of passports issued to applicants residing County Tipperary in 2024 was 20,994.

The Passport Service's forecasts estimate that 940,000 passport applications will be submitted in 2025. Based on the overall forecast figure and last year's applications from Tipperary, the Passport Service estimates that during 2025 there will be approximately 18,000 passport applications from residents of County Tipperary.
