BIMM Music Institute Dublin is a private provider of education and training. As such, the Institute does not come under the governance structures or statutory remit of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
It is noted that BIMM is engaged in collaborative provision with Technological University (TU) Dublin to deliver a small number of programmes. This arrangement includes standard academic, quality assurance and protection of learner arrangements but does not encompass the pay or terms and conditions of staff.
The staff employed by BIMM Music Institute Dublin are private employees, and any industrial relations issues arising between the Institute and its staff are matters for the Institute. The Minister encourages all parties to continue to engage constructively, and to avail of all dispute resolution options open to them.
