To ask the Minister for Health given the known shortage of radiation therapists in Ireland and their vital role in fighting cancer and given the financial impediments to students of radiation therapy (details supplied), if she and her Government colleagues have plans to extend financial assistance to radiation therapy students similar to that afforded to nurses in the later years of their training; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
