The Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 introduces a licensing system for the retail sale of tobacco and nicotine inhaling products, with an annual fee per outlet for each licence category.

Those fees were set under the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (Fees) Regulations 2024 in December last year and will not come into effect until 2 February 2026. There are no plans to change these fees at this time.
