To ask the Minister for Health if she would consider utilising community audiologists to serve HSE medical card holders, who already provide care to PRSI contributors through the treatment benefit scheme as this would drastically reduce the waiting list for adult-onset hearing loss, free up HSE audiologists' resources for children and adults, whose hearing loss relates to illness or injury, improving access to timely care for vulnerable populations; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
