The Ministers of State appointed to my Department and their areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Mr. Noel Grealish, T.D. : Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Food Promotion, New Markets, Research and Development – Minister Grealish will attend Cabinet;
  • Mr. Michael Healy-Rae, T.D. : Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Forestry, Horticulture and Farm Safety.
  • Mr. Timmy Dooley, T.D. : Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Fisheries.
Minister Dooley will also serve at the Department of the Environment, Climate Change and Communications with Special Responsibility for the Marine, his formal appointment will require primary legislation.

My Department is currently making arrangements for the delegation of functions to the Ministers of State, and once finalised, the details of the functions delegated will be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas.
