482. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the salary scale that applies to the Secretary General of his Department; whether this scale has changed in the past year; whether there are proposals to change this scale in the coming period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Secretary General of my Department is remunerated on a salary scale set up in January 2012 on instruction from the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform with the description ‘Secretary General Level II appointed on/after 1/6/11’. This scale has not changed in the last year other than in line with public sector pay agreements. I am not aware of any proposals to change this scale in the coming period.
