The person named submitted an application under the ACRES General stream and was approved into Tranche 1 of the scheme, with a commencement date of 1st January 2023. An interim payment of €4,000 issued to the person named in March 2024. My department's experience has been that in many instances, this interim payment approximated to or exceeded the full payment due for applicants for in respect of their 2023 applications.
The extent of any further payment is due to this applicant in respect of 2023 will be determined when the balancing claim has cleared all the necessary validation checks. My Department is actively working to progress these checks as a matter of urgency. As is the case with all EU co-funded schemes, ACRES applications must pass regulatory controls and validations before this final determination is made. The 2024 advance payment cannot be progressed until payments in respect of the contract are finalised for 2023 first.
Further pay runs, to participants in both Tranches, are continuing on a regular basis as cases pass all required validation checks.
I can assure you that everything is being done to make any outstanding payments to ACRES participants who clear pre-payment checks, as soon as possible.

There are 216 herd owners in Longford awaiting ACRES payments. Two of these herd owners are part of the ACRES Co-operation stream and 214 are in the ACRES General stream.
My Department continues to work to expedite payments. I can confirm that an ACRES payment run is scheduled to issue this week and further pay runs, to participants in both Tranches, will continue on a regular basis as cases pass all required validation checks.
Everything is being done to pay, as soon as possible, all ACRES participants who clear pre-payment checks.
