Working Family Payment (WFP), formerly Family Income Supplement, is a weekly in-work support which provides an income top-up for employees on low earnings with children. To qualify for Working Family Payment the customer must have at least 1 qualified child who normally resides with them and be working a minimum of 38 hours per fortnight in ongoing insurable employment.
An application from the person concerned was received by the Department on 15 October 2024. The deciding officer contacted the person concerned requesting further information on 3 January 2025. The claim was awarded on 31 January 2025. The first payment will issue to the nominated bank account of the person concerned on Thursday 6 February 2025.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
