The progression of Chapter 4 (188) of the Historic and Archaeological Heritage and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2023 would be a matter for the Department of Housing, Heritage and Local Government.
It should be noted, however, that Castletown House is not designated as a National Monument so would not fall under the remit of this Act. It should also be further noted, that the State has its own access to Castletown House via the Celbridge Gate and therefore does not need to rely on this legislation to legally access this important national heritage site.
