I propose to take Questions Nos. 17 and 21 together.

I intend to put in place a team of advisers to support me in my role as Taoiseach and Head of Government. While I have not yet finalised the make-up of my Team, at present it consists of a Chief of Staff at Deputy Secretary level; a Deputy Chief of Staff at Assistant Secretary level; and five Special Advisers at Principal Officer level. All of these appointments will be subject to Government approval over the coming weeks following which the relevant contracts, statements of qualifications, and statements of relationship will be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas.

The following established civil servants are assigned to the Taoiseach's Private Office: a Private Secretary at Assistant Principal (Acting) level with an allowance of €29,466 (modified); two Assistant Private Secretaries at Higher Executive Officer level with allowances of €24,952 (PPC) and €23,707 (modified); one Assistant Private Secretary at Executive Officer level with an allowance of €24,952 (PPC); a Diary Secretary at Executive Officer level; and six Clerical Officers. An Executive Officer and two Clerical Officers are assigned to the Taoiseach's Constituency Office.
