I propose to take Questions Nos. 112 and 113 together.
The Army Cadet Course Syllabus of training is a specialised and intensive training programme of 17 months’ duration. Naval Service Cadets complete a 21-month long period of training. Differences in the type and level of training impacts both the ratio and rank of instructors required for the respective Branches of the Defence Forces.
The military authorities have provided the requested information on the number of instructors required and this is set out in the tables below:
Defence Forces personnel, by rank, needed to train a new Army cadetship class consisting of 60 persons:
Rank | Number |
---|---|
Commandant | 1 |
Captain | 1 |
Lieutenant | 2 |
Company Sergeant | 1 |
Sergeant | 12 |
