The school to which the Deputy refers submitted applications for funding under the Emergency Works Scheme (EWS) for roof works and fabric defect works.
The application regarding roof works was refused on the basis that the school in question was asked to provide further information illustrating evidence of leaks. This information has not been provided as of yet. If the school can provide this information to the Department's EWS team the application can be assessed further and the school has also been informed of this.
The application regarding fabric defects, is currently being reviewed by the technical team within the EWS.
Once a technical recommendation has been made the EWS team will engage further with the school as appropriate. The EWS team is aware of the urgent nature of the works required and will keep the school informed throughout the process.
