Currently the Office of Public Works (OPW) leases two buildings in Dunfanaghy on behalf of my Department. There are staff located in one of these premises - the Intreo Centre on Main Street. The current lease for this property has been in place since January 1992.
There is a second premises in Figart, Dunfanaghy that is also leased by the OPW on behalf of my Department. The building is currently unoccupied and is being prepared for fit-out. The Intreo Centre will be relocating to this new site. The design has been agreed and OPW plan to commence the tender process in Quarter 1 of this year. The Department expects to relocate to the new office in Quarter 3 2025.
Below is a table of premises in Dunfanaghy that are leased by the OPW for my Department's use.
Location | Lease start date | Cost per annum |
---|---|---|
Main Street, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal F92 P660 | 01/01/1992 | €22,000 |
Figart, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal F92 XD0Y | 24/06/2022 | €24,500 |
In general, matters relating to properties for the Department are the responsibility of the OPW. With the exception of the Department's headquarters, Áras Mhic Dhiarmada, Dublin, which is held by the Minister on behalf of the Social Insurance Fund, all premises occupied by my Department are owned or leased by the OPW.
The lease and particulars of these two properties in Dunfanaghy are held by the OPW.
