In relation to school secretaries in ETB post-primary schools, each ETB is responsible for the recruitment and deployment of secretaries to their schools based on sanction issued by my Department with the level of such staffing determined by the number of pupils enrolled in the school in question.
Based on an increase in enrolment in the school referred to by the Deputy, Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB recently applied for and received sanction from my Department to recruit an additional school secretary with immediate effect.
The ETB has confirmed to my Department that it is now commencing the process to recruit an additional school secretary for the school.
