My Department does not currently have refurbishment works in progress at the school referred to by the Deputy.
The major building project for the school will deliver a new 1,000 pupil post-primary school and accommodation, including two classrooms, for children with special educational needs. The project is being delivered under my Department's Design and Build programme in two phases.
The school commenced operation in the completed Phase 1 of the new school building in September 2022, which delivered accommodation for some 500 pupils. The project for Phase 2 of the new school is currently on site and will deliver the remainder of the school's accommodation.
My Department will continue to keep the school and its patron body updated as the phase 2 permanent project progresses.
