My Department has invested more than €150 million over the last 15 years in clinical trials and research support services. This investment has resulted in the development of key clinical research infrastructure which is supporting the conduct of clinical trials across the country. The annual investment in clinical trial research would equate to around €10million per year, with a 10% cost increase resulting in approximately €1million per year.
